;Shouting emerged from the crowd as Rachel Reeves was expressing her pride at being the first female chancellor of the United Kingdom to a conference in Liverpool.
Heard screams: “We are still selling arms to Israel, I thought we voted for change Rachel, climate breakdown is on our doorstep.”

Some yelled, “Free Palestine.”

There were also cries of “stop oil” coming from various parts of the crowd.

Before the initial heckler, there was another man who seemed to be attempting to roll out a flag, but someone in front of him seized it.

The audience booed and yelled “down, down” as security guards in the hall hurried to the men and helped them be immediately removed.

protest.Reacting with a stony expression, Ms. Reeves said that Labour is now “a party that represents working people, not a party of protest”.

The audience applauded her and gave her a standing ovation.

The protest’s organizer, the campaign organization Climate Resistance, has taken credit for it and charged that security “violently” detained one of their demonstrators.

Campaigners claim that “donations from polluting industries and Israel lobbyists to Labour are to blame for the government’s inaction,” according to a statement from the group.
