The fate of two climate activists who threw red powder on the encasement containing the U.S. Constitution in February and damaged the National Archives Rotunda has been revealed.
U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and FBI Acting Special Agent in Charge David Geist of the Washington Field Office Criminal and Cyber Division announced Monday that Jackson Green, 27, of Utah, and Donald Zepeda, 35, of Maryland, were each sentenced to 18 months and 24 months in prison for their roles in the Feb. 14, 2024, attack on the U.S. Constitution kept at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
