Federal Urdu University teachers are demanding the prompt delivery of their paychecks, which have been delayed for the last three months, by staging a demonstration outside the vice chancellor’s office.
The educators who were protesting vented their annoyance by threatening to prevent the Vice Chancellor from entering the office if their salaries were not paid on time.
To keep things under control, the Vice Chancellor’s office brought in police and Rangers in response to the worsening circumstances.
The demonstration brought attention to persistent worries about the university’s financial management and how it affects the wellbeing of the teachers.
