ISLAMABAD Two top Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) officials, Hammad Azhar and Murad Saeed, were proclaimed absconders by an Islamabad anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday for their repeated absences from court in the case involving the Judicial Complex attack.
Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, Raja Basharat, former state minister Farrukh Habib, and other political figures who did not attend the court have also been handed arrest warrants by ATC Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain.
The case concerns an incident that happened when the former prime minister went to the Islamabad Judicial Complex to request bail in several different instances.
At the site, a sizable contingent of PTI supporters demolished security barriers, damaged the complex’s entrance gate, and interfered with court proceedings.
