KARACHI: Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) Chairman Afaq Ahmed was ordered to be transported to jail after an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday denied the police’s motion to physically remand him in a vehicle arson case.
Two violent cases against Ahmed have been filed at the Landhi and Awami Colony police stations in Karachi.
Korangi Qais Khan, Superintendent Police (SP) Investigation, claims that the politician ordered cars in Landhi to be set on fire.
The complainant filed a first information report (FIR), alleging that the perpetrators had physically abused him before setting his truck on fire.
