KARACHI: The Karachi Police have issued a warning to the public not to use weapons for celebratory shooting on New Year’s Eve, stating that those who do so will face attempted murder charges.
According to police, announcements regarding the steps being taken to prevent aerial firing on New Year’s Day are being made through a number of mosques in the megalopolis.
Roads, streets, and public areas would be the sites of patrols, picketing, and snap checks, according to Sindh Inspector General Ghulam Nabi Memon. In contrast, the individuals who opened fire on New Year’s Eve would be charged with attempted murder.
