In October 2020, Auriol Grey was seen on camera telling Celia Ward to “get off the pavement” as she approached her in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Then, the 77-year-old turned onto the road from the 2.4-meter-wide path.
Grandmother Mrs. Ward died when her car was struck by a car.
In March 2023, Grey—who has cerebral palsy and, according to her attorney, is “partially blind”—was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to three years in prison.
However, the Court of Appeal decided today that her manslaughter conviction ought to be reversed, allowing her to go free.
