After a successful appeal contesting the previous exam, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has mandated that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University retake the MD/CAT entrance exam.
The university was ordered by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir to administer a new MD/CAT exam within a month. The court’s ruling comes after the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) revealed that several of the questions on the initial MD/CAT exam did not match the recommended curriculum.
This decision comes after the Sindh High Court issued a similar order directing a four-week retake of the MD/CAT exam. Concerns regarding the integrity of the MD/CAT exam were raised in the IHC’s brief ruling in the case of purported anomalies.
