Authorities eventually handcuffed the man responsible for the spate of unprovoked attacks after many women reported being randomly assaulted while strolling through New York’s streets, according to USA Today.
Following an attack on at least one woman in Manhattan this week, Brooklyn resident Skiboky Stora, 40, was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with assault, a spokesman for the New York Police Department told USA Today.
The 23-year-old TikTok celebrity Halley Kate informed the police that earlier this week, at around 10:20 a.m., she was walking near West 16th Street and 7th Avenue when she was struck in the head by an unidentified individual.
“The victim fell to the ground and suffered injuries to the left side of her face,” according to police,mentioning that she received treatment at a nearby hospital afterwards.
Women in New York City have reported attacks recently in which they were hit in the face or head by an unknown person who approached them.
