KARACHI: Health officials have acted quickly to expedite the screening of all incoming and departing travelers in the nation following the discovery of the first monkeypox (Mpox) case in Karachi.
According to a notification, the director general of the Sindh Health Department has directed Border Health Services Pakistan to speed up the screening procedure for travelers entering and leaving the country.
All passengers should be thoroughly watched, and anyone exhibiting signs of monkeypox should be immediately quarantined, according to the DG Health statement.
Additionally, the health administration has instructed all hospitals to finish making the required preparations for the care and treatment of patients with monkeypox.
