In the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, a huge avalanche slammed a remote border area, trapping at least 25 road workers, according to officials.
Sandeep Tiwari, a senior district official, told BBC Hindi that 32 workers had been saved and relocated to a neighboring army camp.
According to officials, the avalanche struck a Border Roads Organization (BRO) camp in the Tibetan border-sharing town of Mana.
Rescue efforts were ongoing in severe weather conditions with significant snowfall, according to officials.
