BAKU: Pakistan and Azerbaijan strengthened their partnership on Monday by signing a number of agreements to increase bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas, such as trade, energy, tourism, and education.
During Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s two-day official visit to the Central Asian nation, which was invited by President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, the pre-signed documents were exchanged.
Following their bilateral meeting and delegation-level discussions covering cooperation in many sectors, the prime minister and president of Azerbaijan observed the document exchange ceremony.
“I am very grateful to you when you announced that Azerbaijan will invest $2 billion in Pakistan in ventures that are mutually beneficial, which will bring dividends to both countries,” Prime Minister Shehbaz remarked during the joint media briefing.
