The Punjab Agriculture Department is advising farmers to plant wheat before November 15 in order to take advantage of favorable weather conditions.
A spokeswoman said that the department sent out a warning to farmers in the Bahawalpur area.
It further stated that by November 15th, the ideal weather would continue to be present, therefore wheat should be sown by that day.
They added that if wheat was sown on time, the crop will generate record yields.
When planting wheat, farmers are encouraged by the provincial administration to apply nitrogen fertilizer to the field first.
It also stated, “Wheat growers can apply nitrogen fertilizer to the wheat field two or three times.”
