For many years, conspiracies have plagued Balochistan, frequently with the intent of foreign forces looking to undermine regional stability. But beyond from sowing discontent and escalating tensions among the Baloch youth, these outside forces accomplished very little.
The idea that the state was their enemy and that their liberties were being usurped was ingrained in their minds as a result of a well-planned campaign. The promotion of the notion of Baloch supremacy implied that ongoing hostilities with the state were necessary for the tribe system to survive. It was said that peace would destroy the core of their identity.
But ignorance and unemployment have been the actual foes of Baloch youth. Their susceptibility to anti-state propaganda resulted from these vulnerabilities, which sparked a protracted war that spanned generations.
