Abdul Rauf Shar, a tribal elder, was killed and five people, including a woman, were injured when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on a car in Dera Murad Jamali’s main bazaar, according to the police.
When the security guard for the tribal elder fired fire in reprisal, one of the attackers was also killed. His name was given as Mashoq Ali.
Five onlookers were hurt when the driver lost control of the automobile and it crashed into a shop, according to the police.
Police arrived at the scene quickly, moving the injured and dead to the district hospital.
According to Nasirabad SSP Fahad Khan Khosa, “an old enmity between two local tribes was the cause of the attack.”
In the meantime, a man in the barahja slaughtered his daughter and her purported lover out of honor.
