KARACHI: In a letter to the Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP), South Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza, who is handling the case of a violent assault on a citizen at Boat Basin, asked for cooperation with Balochistan authorities in order to guarantee the arrest of prime suspect Shahzain Marri.
In the letter, the South DIG notified the Sindh IGP that, in accordance with certain provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), a first information report (FIR) had been filed against the incident that took place on the evening of February 19, 2025, at the Boat Basin Police Station in Karachi.
Barkat Ali Soomro, the complainant, claims that he and his companion Wagas Ahmed were attacked when they made a U-turn close to a private bank at around three in the morning.
