QUETTA: The government declared on Tuesday that the University of Balochistan would be suspended indefinitely and that all classes will now be conducted virtually.
For female students, Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University has already switched to online instruction. According to sources, security concerns led to the closure of the universities.
Additionally, the university declared that all sessions at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) will be postponed till Eid-ul-Fitr.
The announcement claims that BUITEMS’ transportation service has been suspended permanently and that all of its classes will now be delivered online. Nonetheless, classes will resume as usual at the university’s sites in Muslim Bagh and Zhob.
