On Wednesday, an earthquake measuring 4.2 in magnitude and 35 kilometers deep struck the Kech district in Balochistan’s Turbat area.
As per the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake’s epicenter was about 24 kilometers towards the northeast of Turbat.
Residents panicked as a result of the tremors, running out of their houses while chanting the Kalma Tayyiba, the Islamic creed.
There have not yet been any reports of earthquake-related deaths or damage.
