When the 1.6-mile structure was slammed by a massive cargo ship early on Tuesday morning, Julio Cervantes was on it when it plummeted into the Patapsco River.
On the same day, Mr. Cervantes and another man were saved.
When they were thought to be dead on Tuesday night, the rescue endeavor evolved into a recovery operation. Two of their remains were discovered on Wednesday; the other four are still missing.
The spouse of Mr. Cervantes, who wished to remain anonymous, stated to News: “Everyone was having a break in their automobiles when the boat came into play.
My spouse cannot swim, so we are unsure if they were alerted before the collision. He’s lucky to be alive.
Following the catastrophe, it was discovered that the ship’s crew had informed the Maryland Department of Transportation that they had it.
