Bam Margera, star of Jackass, received a six-month probationary term that included drug testing.
In July 2023, on a two-week visit to his family’s Chester County, Pennsylvania, home, the former Jackass star beat his brother Jess and threatened the family. The incident caused Jess to have her eardrum ruptured.
Bam, 44, turned himself in after eluding authorities for several days. In addition to drug tests, he is currently facing allegations of assault; a positive result would result in further jail time for the actor, according to People.
Jess stated that his brother is “a good dude when he’s not messed up” last year.
When Bam was at the Pennsylvania house, Jess said he stayed up for days at a time. In addition, he claimed that Bam had exhibited problematic conduct for the previous 20 years.
Bam, who has previously battled mental health issues and substance misuse, told the judge during the same court appearance that he was receiving drug and alcohol therapy. August 1st will be his sober anniversary.
As he considers his success, Bam is appreciative of how long he has abstained from drugs. Following the court’s Wednesday adjournment, he informed ABC 6 that he didn’t want to return to that way of life.
