According to sources, recent air safety problems have caused a delay in the long-awaited return of Pakistani airlines’ flights, particularly Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), to the United Kingdom (UK).
Insiders claim that the decision to relax the ban on Pakistani airlines was heavily influenced by two catastrophic aviation catastrophes.
A British aviation safety delegation visited Pakistan in February, and one of the major occurrences that influenced their judgment was an aircraft landing on the incorrect runway.
Another incident involving a PIA airplane landing without a tire took place prior to the Air Safety Committee meeting on March 20.
It is thought that these incidents were very important in the continuous evaluation of Pakistan’s aviation safety regulations.
