As he recuperates from a severe heart attack he sustained during a game earlier this week, former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has thanked supporters for their support.
The 36-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital on Monday after complaining of excruciating chest pain while guiding Mohammedan Sporting Club in a 50-over Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match.
Since then, he has been moved to a bigger hospital in the capital, where he is still being watched.
“We often forget that this beat can stop at any moment, without any warning,” Tamim posted on social media on Tuesday. “It’s the heartbeat that keeps us alive,” she wrote.
