Applications for Hajj 2025 from people planning to perform the yearly pilgrimage next year were first received by banks throughout Pakistan on Monday.
According to a Ministry of Religious Affairs spokeswoman, applicants for the Hajj must deposit an installment of Rs200,000 with their applications, which are being received by 15 approved banks.
The government Hajj program has an 89,605 quota, with 5,000 seats set aside for Pakistanis living abroad through sponsorship.
The government-sponsored Hajj package covers travel, lodging, meals, instruction, and immunizations.
According to the spokesperson, minors under the age of twelve and those with serious and complicated medical issues would not be permitted to travel for the Hajj.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, announced the Hajj policy last week.
