The bank reported that, shortly before six in the morning, everything was operating as it should after the issues started on Tuesday night and persisted until Wednesday morning.
At 7:26 on Wednesday morning, someone else was still unable to withdraw money from a company account.
Some users could not see any transactions into or out of their accounts, even when their balances appeared to have decreased or increased. Another user posted just before 8 a.m.; however, their recent transactions weren’t displayed at all.
Late on Tuesday night, it was reported that the initial issues with the Barclays app and online banking had been resolved; however, problems with payments into and out of accounts as well as phone banking were still present.
Barclays has not disclosed the reason for the technical glitch.
The lender apologized for any inconveniences you may have had, and all issues were resolved overnight.
