The “Vampire Diaries” actress was getting ready for a private CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour at the Golden Swan in New York City on a Friday night in late October. Unbeknownst to her, though, White had orchestrated the “fake” event as part of a larger scheme.
“[Shaun] made the invite look so legitimate,” Dobrev said to Vogue after getting the official invitation a few days earlier.
