To stop individuals from Islamabad and other upper-class areas of the country from entering the provincial capital of Lahore, authorities have placed containers in the way of traffic at Babu Sabu Interchange and Thokar Niaz Beg.

Comparably, to prevent people from entering Lahore, containers have been positioned on Shahdara Morr and Ring Road. Furthermore, additional locations have also had containers erected to block access, including as Taxali Gate, Azadi Chowk, Data Darbar, Ravi Bridge, etc.
At these closed locations, large police contingents have also been stationed.
However, in order to evade being taken into custody, local PTI leaders in Lahore have gone into hiding.
