On Monday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) released a behind-the-scenes video that provides an inside look at how the coveted Champions Trophy is made.
The film shows different phases of the trophy’s creation, which was designed by Thomas Lyte of England.
Lyte acknowledges the tremendous responsibility that comes with designing such a famous piece for the ICC and talks about the difficulties and commitment required to produce a high-quality trophy in the video.
He emphasizes that creating the prize is an honor and a big responsibility.
Notably, Pakistan is preparing to host its first ICC competition since co-hosting the ICC World Cup in 1996. Sri Lanka won the final that year, which took place in Lahore.
