The explosions on Wednesday left over 450 people injured and at least 20 dead, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.
After Tuesday’s bombings, twelve people have died and almost three thousand have been injured.
Israel’s defense minister announced a “new phase” of the battle as the country’s army shifted its focus to the northern front with Lebanon after the second wave of explosions.
Numerous reports from Lebanon claim that Hezbollah-used hand-held radios have burst in the southern region of the nation and in the southern suburbs of the city.
Alex Crawford, a special journalist for News, saw what seemed to be the aftermath of one of the explosions while attending a burial for the four individuals murdered in Tuesday’s pager bombings in southern Beirut.
Although Hezbollah members appeared to be the focus of Wednesday’s bombings, it is unclear if onlookers were also injured.
In the meantime, the news agency noted that residential solar energy systems blew up in a few different parts of Beirut, according to the official news agency of Lebanon.
Defence Minister Yoav Gallant commended the work of Israel’s army and security agencies on Wednesday, but he did not address the exploding electrical devices in Lebanon while addressing Israeli troops.
