In a startling occurrence in Islamabad, a 28-year-old Belgian immigrant lady was allegedly raped.
Police reports claim that the woman was discovered in Sector G-6, her hands bound, abandoned by unknown persons.
When a bystander saw the woman and called emergency helpline 15 to report her condition to the police, the situation was brought to the attention of the authorities. Police responded to the call, found the woman, who was obviously disturbed and in distress, and brought her to safety.
In her original testimony to the police, the woman claimed to have experienced five days of sexual assault. The victim’s initial police testimony attested to the abuse she had suffered at the hands of unidentified people during her ordeal.
In order to determine the full extent of her injuries and gather information for the current investigation, the woman was taken to the Polyclinic Hospital for a comprehensive medical examination.
As soon as the woman was identified, the police moved swiftly to apprehend a suspect. The culprit was taken into custody by the Aabpara police from Sector G-6, street number 35.
