Wales manager Craig Bellamy believes that Aaron Ramsey will manage “at a high level” in the future, but he believes it is premature to link the player to the open Cardiff City position.
The Cardiff midfielder suffered a hamstring injury last month while substituting for Wales in their 2-1 Nations League victory over Montenegro, which would sideline him for at least two months.
The 33-year-old, who has 86 caps, will now miss Wales’ Nations League matches against Montenegro at home on Friday and Iceland away on Friday.
I can really see that side of him [the manager]… Bellamy remarked, “I think it’s beginning to circle, because it does later in your career.”
I have a modest confidence that he will perceive that aspect of the game for himself.
Cardiff fired Erol Bulut last month after the team had its worst-ever start to a season. They are currently looking for their 12th permanent manager in 14 years.
