It’s a remarkable sight. A 2020 congressional hearing targeted at their companies was the last public gathering in Washington that brought so many tech executives together in one space.
The majority of businesses still face significant issues with the US government today, such as investigations, anti-monopoly cases, regulatory battles, and tariffs.
The executives were accused of attempting to “cozy up to the incoming Trump administration in an effort to avoid scrutiny, limit regulation, and buy favor” in a letter sent to them last week by Democratic senators Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bennett.
