Biden made fun of former President Trump’s rally in Madison Square Garden, which garnered media attention after insult comedian Tony Hinchiffe made jokes disparaging various ethnic groups, including calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” during a virtual Harris campaign call with Voto Latino on Tuesday night.
During the call, Biden stated, “His supporters are the only garbage I see floating out there.” “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it is un-American.”
“Just to clarify, he was not calling Trump supporters garbage,” Jean-Pierre reiterated to reporters during the daily White House press conference, echoing Biden’s assertion.
