In the event that the opposition parties reject his attempts to pass the judicial package via consensus, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has threatened to adopt the “controversial path” in order to pass the 26th constitutional amendment.
Speaking at a gathering in Hyderabad to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the Karsaz event, he stated, “I myself am making last attempt to convince the opposition parties to vote for the constitutional amendment in a non-controversial way.”
“We all have to pray for the country’s democracy,” the PPP chief declared if he was unable to reach an agreement on the proposed constitutional revision.
