Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), attacked the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Friday for engaging in “extremist politics” and neglecting its primary duty of serving the people.
A day after the former ruling party skipped the all-parties conference (APC), which KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi had called due to recent tribal skirmishes that left at least 133 people dead and 186 injured, the former foreign minister made these comments.
According to the party created by Imran Khan, “The PPP has no mandate in KP […] it wants to hold a lifeless exhibitory meeting to portray itself as a democratic party.”
Bilawal praised PPP-backed Governor Kundi’s initiative on X, formerly known as Twitter, which aims to “create political consensus” and address the challenges that the people of KP confront.
