Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has predicted that the constitutional revision will pass parliament by this month’s 25th, notwithstanding the uncertainties surrounding the controversial judicial package.
In a conversation with reporters, the PPP chairman, however, dissociated himself from the anticipated action, speculating that it might be the end of the road for the current administration but not for them.
Bilawal clarified the party’s position on the constitutional change by saying, “There is no deadline from our side.”
The day before, Bilawal stated that while the administration aimed to adopt the constitutional amendment by October 25, it is “neither a necessity nor obligatory” to do so.
