Billy Crystal and renowned director Martin Scorsese have been friends for decades.
In an interview with Willie Geist on the Sunday Sitdown program, Billy disclosed that Martin was one of his teachers at New York University.
“Martin Scorsese was my film production professor when I was in film school here [at NYU],” Billy recalled. At the time, he was a graduate student working on his debut film, Who’s That Knocking at My Door. And those years were 1968, 1969, and 1970.
Additionally, he wore granny glasses, had a large beard, and had shoulder-length hair.
