The Kafaalat initiative’s recipients will get higher quarterly payments from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
The payout will increase by Rs 3,000, from the previous figure of Rs 10,500 every quarter to Rs 13,500, according to Chairman Rubina Khalid.
The largest cash transfer program in Pakistan, BISP Kafaalat, was introduced in 2008 with the goal of giving needy households financial support.
The program’s long-term objectives of lowering extreme poverty and empowering women in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN are to shield underprivileged households from the effects of inflation and growing food prices.
Over 9.3 million families are being supported by the BISP Kafaalat program, and 10 million families are expected to get aid in the future.
