In the midst of ongoing legal disputes, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds intend to request that a federal judge reject a $400 million lawsuit brought by It Ends with Us director Justin Baldoni.
Following an examination of court filings, Variety stated that Michael Gottlieb, the couple’s lawyer, disclosed that “the Lively-Reynolds parties intend to move to dismiss plaintiffs’ complaint.”
A written notification was requested by Judge Lewis Liman from the attorneys to “indicate in one sentence the defendant’s intent to make a motion to dismiss.”
The judge is supposed to give them a deadline to turn in the documents, according to the same source.
Similar remarks were made before the court on Wednesday by Leslie Sloane, the publicist for Lively and Reynolds and a defendant in Baldoni’s case.
