Blake Lively, an actor, has petitioned the court to dismiss Justin Baldoni’s $400 million defamation action.
Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios are brought to light for their “illegal” and “weaponized” lawsuits by the It Ends With Us actress’s request to the court.
Her legal team’s plea reads, “The Wayfarer parties’ vindictive and rambling lawsuit against Blake Lively is a profound abuse of the legal process that has no place in federal court,” according to Rolling Stone.
“Defamation lawsuits, such as this one, cannot be used as a weapon to retaliate against people who have publicly spoken out about sexual harassment and retaliation or who have filed legal claims.”
