During the US Thanksgiving weekend, bomb threats have been made against four of Connecticut’s five legislators in the House.
Democrats Joe Courtney, John Larson, Jim Himes, and Jahana Hayes claimed that police had informed them that they were the target of a threat. No signs of an explosion were discovered in either instance.
Rosa DeLauro, the representative for Connecticut in the fifth house, did not say she was warned in this way.
The story comes after several of Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees and White House staff members were recently the target of similar false threats.
Trump issued warnings on Tuesday and Wednesday to at least nine individuals he selected to head the defense, housing, agriculture, and labor departments, as well as his choice for the US ambassador to the UN.
