On the first day of the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Friday, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah made sure his team made a comeback by taking four wickets and receiving good support from other bowlers.
The Indian batsmen got off to a terrible start after choosing to bat first. Before they were bowled out for 150, Nitish Kumar Reddy (41) and Risabh Pant (37) gave the Indian innings some boost.
Australia’s bowling attack was led by Josh Hazlewood, who took four vital wickets to put India behind them.
Pat Cummins, Mitchell Marsh, and Mitchell Starc had each claimed two wickets.
However, the Indian bowlers surprised the host team by putting their batting to the test.
