The former quarterback, who played in the NFL for 23 seasons before retiring for the second time in February 2023, will own 5% of the Raiders.
Brady said in a statement, “I have discovered throughout my NFL career that football is fundamentally a game of teamwork, perseverance, and a never-ending quest for excellence.”
These values are embodied by the Raiders franchise and the city of Las Vegas, and I feel privileged to be a part of that narrative.”
Last year, Brady joined the ownership group of Birmingham City, an English football team, as a minority owner.
At a meeting in Atlanta, NFL owners unanimously approved his decision to invest into the Raiders, a vote he needed by 24 votes.
Brady continued, “I’m thrilled to support the organization in any way I can, honoring the Raiders’ rich history while looking for every chance to enhance what we have to offer fans.”
