The former borders and immigration inspector, who was fired last week for disclosing information to the media regarding suspected security lapses at airports, had 13 papers published by the Home Office.
Mr. Neal said that “basic stuff [is] not being done well” and that roving officers were “distracted” by dealing with passenger inquiries and queue management in one of the reports on a reinspection of electronic passport gates.
Inspectors saw unmanned border stations while policemen motioned for their supervisors’ attention.
The report stated, “This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed urgently.”
