Following a brawl with police at Manchester Airport, in which an officer was captured on camera stamping on a suspect’s head, two men have been charged.
According to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), two brothers from Rochdale, Mohammed Amaaz, 20, and Muhammad Amaad, 25, have been charged with assaulting police officers.
It further stated that no police officers involved in the July 23 event are facing any charges.
The attorney for Mr. Amaaz and Mr. Amaad stated that they will be asking for a victim’s right to challenge the CPS ruling.
In July, footage of a police officer kicking a guy in the head while he was lying on the ground surfaced on social media.
The Manchester Evening News later acquired CCTV footage that demonstrated the events leading up to the incident.
