A significant ‘chance’ that Princess of Wales Kate Middleton received on St. Patrick’s Day has been revealed by Buckingham Palace.
Details of Kate Middleton’s visit to the Irish Guards at Wellington Barracks as their Colonel were released by the palace.
The Princess, who is the Colonel of the Irish Guards, has come to the regiment on St. Patrick’s Day to attend the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and meet with soldiers and veterans.
Queen Victoria established the Irish Guards in 1900, and they are skilled in fighting infantry. They serve as ceremonial guardians of the royal palaces as members of the guards division.
Since 2023, the Princess has served as Colonel.
