Hours after being placed under incommunicado following a government crackdown in Islamabad, Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehrkee-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, and Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, arrived at the home of KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.
Senior PTI leader Taimur Saleem Khan confirmed that Bushra and Gandapur were also joined by Omar Ayub, the leader of the National Assembly Opposition.
After escaping the federal capital, the pair reportedly stayed overnight at the Circuit House in Mansehra with Ayub and Swati.
This comes after Bushra’s sister, Maryam Riaz Wattoo, voiced worries about the former first lady’s potential kidnapping.
