Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has declared its intention to launch electric cars, also known as new energy vehicles (NEVs), in the nation.
By December 31, 2025, the business plans to start introducing fully knocked down (CKD) models of NEVs, which are cars that are transported in parts and built at the dealership or factory, according to a notice it sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.
Sazgar, a company well-known for producing cars, three-wheelers, auto parts, and electric appliances for homes, has revealed that its board has approved a major expansion plan that will likely cost Rs4.5 billion, not including land. Using the company’s own capital resources, this growth will be funded.
The expansion proposal calls for building new storage facilities, updating the paint shop, and setting up a four kilowatt solar array.
