Lady Gaga recently talked about how she felt “really powerful” after listening to her most recent album, Mayhem.
The 38-year-old singer said that she felt drawn to dark energy for her first two albums, Born This Way and The Fame Monster, but she is positive that her most recent songs have set “new ground.” The album was released on March 7.
“It was really powerful,” the Bad Romance singer stated in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine about her album, Mayhem. I may have strayed from that in the last four or so albums I’ve released and experimented with other things, but this was a return to those Gothic fantasies.
Gaga went on, “I think it’s difficult to forge new ground while navigating old territory.”
