Karar Ramadan, also known as C. Gambino, was attacked and killed last night while he was parked in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The local police told the Swedish media that he was shot twice after being attacked by “several men.”
The rapper, who should not be mistaken with American musician Childish Gambino, has over a million monthly Spotify listeners and was just awarded a Grammi, the equivalent of a Grammy in his home country.
According to Thomas Fuxborg, a regional police spokeswoman, the attack at a parking lot was reported to the authorities at 22:42 p.m.
He claimed that Mr. Ramadan had been shot when they got there, taken to the hospital, and died soon after.
