It would be “extremely dangerous” for Israel to try a massive offensive in Rafah, according to Lord Cameron on the Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips Show.
He said that the UK and America “are in a totally different situation” when asked if the UK would follow the US’s lead and cut off arms sales to Israel in the event that the country begins an attack on Gaza, which is a vital route for humanitarian goods.
“The United States is a massive bulk state supplier of weapons to Israel, including, you know, 1,000-pound bombs and all the rest of it,” he stated.
The United Kingdom is not a state supplier and gives Israel less than 1% of its armaments. We have a licensing mechanism in place, and licenses may be revoked if it is determined that there is a substantial risk of a major breach of international human rights.”
